Reeve B. Waud, Chairman

Reeve B. Waud is the Founder and Chairman of Acadia Healthcare. He has served as a director of Acadia (and was Chairman of its predecessor Acadia Healthcare Company, LLC) since December 2005.

Mr. Waud formed WCP in 1993 and has served as the Managing Partner of WCP since that time. Prior to founding WCP, Mr. Waud was an investment professional at Golder, Thoma, Cressey, Rauner, Inc. (“GTCR”), a private equity investment group based in Chicago, Illinois. Before joining GTCR, Mr. Waud was in the Corporate Finance Group of Salomon Brothers Inc and was a founding member of its Venture Capital Group.

He is a member of the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (NMHC) Finance Committee which oversees the finances of NMHC and its 11 hospitals and more than 33,000 employees. He is a Trustee of the Art Institute of Chicago and serves on its Finance Committee.

Jason R. Bernhard, Director

Jason R. Bernhard, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since December 2019. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, Financial Advisory North America and is a Managing Director, Head of North America Healthcare Investment Banking at Lazard. Mr. Bernhard was involved in the creation of Lazard’s healthcare initiatives including the firm’s biotechnology and healthcare services practices. His background also includes more than 30 years of experience advising a broad range of healthcare clients on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other corporate finance transactions. Prior to joining Lazard in 1997, Mr. Bernhard was Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, at Citigroup (formerly Smith Barney). He also worked as an analyst/associate with Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Hong Kong. Mr. Bernhard earned a Bachelor of Arts in European history, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 and went on to earn an MBA with a concentration in finance and accounting from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.

E. Perot Bissell, Director

E. Perot Bissell, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since April 2013. Since 2012, Mr. Bissell has been the Vice Chairman of Maxum Enterprises, LLC. From 2006 to 2012, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Maxum Petroleum, Inc., an independent energy logistics company. Prior to that, Mr. Bissell was a Partner of Northwest Capital Appreciation, Inc., a merchant banking and private equity firm, and before that, the Co-Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of SLP Capital, a specialty finance company. Our Board believes that Mr. Bissell is qualified to serve as a director because of, among other things, his extensive corporate finance background and his general business and financial acumen. Mr. Bissell currently serves on the board of directors of Maxum Enterprises, LLC and previously served on the board of ASG Security, LLC, Maxum Petroleum, Inc., SLP Capital and SPI Petroleum, LLC, all private companies. Mr. Bissell also serves on a number of charitable boards.

Michael J. Fucci, Director

Michael J. Fucci, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since October 2020. Until his retirement in September 2020, he served as Chairman Emeritus of Deloitte U.S. and prior to that served as Executive Chairman of Deloitte U.S. from 2015-2019. As Executive Chairman, Mr. Fucci provided governance and operational leadership on priority matters such as strategy, leadership succession, risk mitigation, talent development, as well as executive performance and compensation. Mr. Fucci has been a member of the Deloitte U.S. Board of Directors since 2013, during which time he led the risk and regulatory committee and served on the committee that evaluates performance and recommends compensation for elected leaders. In 2015, Mr. Fucci joined the Deloitte Global Board of Directors, where he served on the global governance committee and the compensation and evaluation committee. Mr. Fucci established and co-chaired the Board Leadership Forum, a coalition of Fortune 500 board chairs and lead directors who convene to discuss research, trends and perspectives pertinent to today’s evolving business environment. He also chaired the Deloitte Foundation providing strategic oversight of a not-for-profit organization which supports education initiatives in the U.S. Mr. Fucci also served as Chief Operating Officer of Deloitte Consulting from 2009-2015.

Vicky Gregg, Director

Vicky Gregg, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since May 2016. Since November 2014, Ms. Gregg has served as a Co-Founder and Partner of Guidon Partners, an investor and consultant for an array of privately held healthcare companies. She was previously with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST), which she joined in 1995 and which she served as Chief Executive Officer from January 2003 through the end of 2012. During this period, she was appointed by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist to the National Institutes of Health Commission on Systemic Interoperability; served on the Board of America’s Health Insurance Plans, including two years as Chairman; served on the Board of the BlueCross BlueShield Association; was Chairman of the Board of the National Institute of Healthcare Management; and was appointed by Governor Bill Haslam to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees. Prior, to BCBST, Ms. Gregg was with Humana Health Plans, most recently as CEO for Kentucky, Ohio and Southern Indiana, as well as Director of Marketing for Retirement Centers of America. She began her career as a nurse technician at Erlanger Regional Medical Center and became a Staff Nurse in Emergency Medicine, as well as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Erlanger’s End Stage Renal Disease Program. Ms. Gregg also serves on the Board of Directors of Quest Diagnostics.

William F. Grieco, Director

William F. Grieco, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since November 2011 and as a director of PHC since February 1997. Since 2008, Mr. Grieco has served as the Managing Director of Arcadia Strategies, LLC, a legal and business consulting organization servicing healthcare, science and technology companies. From 2003 to 2008, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of American Science and Engineering, Inc., an x-ray inspection technology company. From 2001 to 2002, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of IDX Systems Corporation, a healthcare information technology company. Previously, from 1995 to 1999, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Fresenius Medical Care North America, a dialysis service and products company. Prior to that, Mr. Grieco was a partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart, a general service law firm. Since February 2011, Mr. Grieco has been a member of the board of directors of Echo Therapeutics Inc., a medical device and specialty pharmaceutical company. From February 1997 until November 2011, Mr. Grieco served as a member of the board of directors of PHC, Inc.

Dr. Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A., Director

Dr. Harris has served as a director of Acadia since 2023. She is board-certified in psychiatry and has diverse experience as a private practicing physician, public health director and patient advocate. Active in organized medicine throughout her 25-year career, Dr. Harris previously served on the board of trustees of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and was an APA delegate to the American Medical Association (AMA). In 2019, Dr. Harris was elected the 174th president of the AMA. She was the first African American woman to ever hold the position, which she served in until 2020. She also previously served as chair of the AMA’s Opioid Task Force and on AMA work groups devoted to health information technology, sustainable growth rate and private contracting. Currently, Dr. Harris continues in private practice and is co-founder and chief executive officer of eMed Digital Healthcare, a digital healthcare company she co-founded in 2020.

Christopher H. Hunter, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Hunter has served as Chief Executive Officer and a director of Acadia since April 2022. From January 2014 through August 2021, Mr. Hunter served in senior leadership positions at Humana, most recently as President of Humana’s Group, Military & Specialty and previously as Humana’s Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Hunter served as President, Provider Markets, for TriZetto Corporation prior to joining Humana. Mr. Hunter serves on the board of directors of the UNC-Chapel Hill Honors Program.

David Kelly, Director

David Kelly has served as a director of Acadia since June 2022. He is the founder and managing partner of StraightLine Realty Partners, an alternative investment platform based in Dallas, Texas, with real estate, financial services and venture capital holdings. Prior to founding StraightLine Realty Partners, he was founder and partner of Carleton Residential Properties, where he created one of the largest residential developers and general contractors in the Southwest.  Mr. Kelly also serves as founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Croesus and Company, managing director and co-founder of Serra Real Estate Capital, LLC, lead director of TCW Direct Lending, lead director of Invesco’s INREIT real estate platform and at-large director of Ashton Woods Homes. He previously held investment positions with Trammell Crow Company, Goldman Sachs & Co., and Salomon Brothers.  Mr. Kelly graduated as a John Harvard Scholar in Economics from Harvard University and completed a Master of Business Administration at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Wade D. Miquelon, Director

Wade D. Miquelon, Director, has served as a director of Acadia since January 2012. Mr. Miquelon is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Jo-Ann Stores, LLC, the nation’s leading fabric and craft specialty retailer. He previously served as Executive Vice President, President International and Chief Financial Officer of Walgreen Co (“Walgreens”), a position in which he served until August 2014. Mr. Miquelon joined Walgreens in June 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Walgreens, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Tyson Foods, Inc. from 2006 to 2008. From 1989 to 2006, Mr. Miquelon served Procter & Gamble Co. (“P&G”) in a number of positions of increasing responsibility, most recently for three years as Vice President—Finance, Western Europe, the senior most financial officer responsible for the 17-country Western Europe operation. Among other positions during his tenure at P&G, Mr. Miquelon was the head of Finance and Accounting for the ASEAN, Australasia, and India region, served as Director and Investment Partner of I Ventures, a P&G venture capital fund, and co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development/Human Resources of Emmperative, Inc., an enterprise marketing management software joint venture between P&G and other entities.
