Stephanie Eken, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Stephanie Eken is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Acadia Healthcare, which involves leadership in all aspects of the company’s clinical operations. In her role, Dr. Eken is responsible for providing the strategic vision for clinical excellence across each of the company’s service lines, as well as all medical affairs at the enterprise level.
As a member of the senior leadership team, she helps drive the business by imbuing her clinical expertise into the company’s decision-making, ensuring that standards of excellence are consistent through the continuum of care.
Prior to joining Acadia, Dr. Eken spent 15 years with Rogers Behavioral Health, a not-for-profit, nationwide independent provider of specialized mental health and addiction treatment. In her role as CMO for Rogers, she partnered with the system’s executive leadership to lead patient care, quality, and facilities expansion across the country.
A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Eken is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and completed post-graduate training in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She began her career with a deep focus on child and adolescent psychiatry, innovating a variety of new treatments in specialty programs.
In addition to her clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Eken is also an active speaker and researcher in the field of behavioral health. She has co-authored several publications on pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders. She has also presented at national conferences and workshops on topics such as eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and family involvement in treatment settings. Dr. Eken is passionate about advancing the knowledge and practice of evidence-based treatments for mental health and addiction.
